DGCA Approves Increased Flight Simulator Hours for Commercial Pilot Training
DGCA revises CAR guidelines to permit up to 40 hours of flight simulator training toward the 200-hour CPL requirement.
In a significant policy update aimed at modernising flight training standards and improving cadet safety readiness, the DGCA has revised its Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR) to allow up to 40 hours of certified Flight Training Device (FTD) and Full Flight Simulator (FFS) hours to be credited toward the mandatory 200-hour flight time requirement for Commercial Pilot Licences (CPL).
