Akasa Air Announces Pilot Hiring Drive Across 8 Indian Cities

Akasa Air opens recruitment for Captains and First Officers across 8 major Indian cities as its Boeing 737 MAX fleet expands.

India's fastest-growing airline, Akasa Air, has launched a multi-city recruitment campaign targeting both experienced Captains and fresh First Officers to crew its growing fleet of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The nationwide hiring drive spans eight key metropolitan and regional aviation bases: Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, and Ahmedabad.

Rapid Expansion of the 737 MAX Fleet

Having placed firm orders for over 200 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, Akasa Air is aggressively expanding its domestic market share while launching international short-haul routes to the Gulf and Southeast Asia. The airline requires an expanding pipeline of DGCA-licensed pilots who have demonstrated strong theoretical fundamentals and multi-crew coordination skills.

Key criteria for prospective pilot candidates:

  • Valid DGCA CPL / ATPL: Current Class 1 Medical Certificate with no active regulatory suspensions. Review medical test steps in our DGCA Class 2 & 1 Medical Guide.
  • Type Endorsements: Immediate preference given to pilots holding Boeing 737 Type Ratings. Learn about simulator curricula and partner centres in Aviora's Type Rating Program.
  • Airmanship & CRM: High proficiency in airline standard operating procedures (SOPs), crew resource management, and instrument approach procedures.
